Positive: We were only 2 in a villa for 8+ so we had plenty of space which was a real treat. The large villa is delightful. It has been split into three separate holiday lets which share the spacious gardens and pool. We stayed in ‘the Refuge’ all ground floor which had everything you could want for a holiday; close to Beauval bioparc, walking distance to supermarket, and into St.Aignan (which is charming). The facilities were excellent. The lady who greeted us was very friendly and extremely helpful. NB- it is very important to note that TOWELS and BED LINENS are ONLY provided at an extra charge to be arranged prior to arrival.

Negative: Small things that could easily be fixed - our double bed was comfy but the springs squeaked enough to disturb our sleep! Only a net curtain which gave no privacy if the light was on, and didn’t block any outside lights/sun. The pool area was closed despite it being a sunny 24C during our weeks stay. We would have loved a swim. Unfortunately, as we had the ground floor, that meant that directly above us (our bedroom in particular) was the main living room (and bathroom!) for other holiday makers. During our stay that was two different large families with young children. Naturally they were noisy however, the lack of any sound insulation meant that this disturbed us constantly. Particularly after 10pm. I think the main problem is the layout of the property but I doubt anything can be done about that.
